Turning a Structural Challenge Into a Design Feature
At NPE 2024, Heritage Plastics needed a booth that not only reflected its innovative spirit, but also addressed a significant layout obstacle: a large, immovable column positioned within the exhibit space.
Exhibit Craft developed a solution that transformed a potential limitation into a seamless design element, creating a visually open and highly functional exhibit environment.
Challenge
A structural column within the booth footprint presented a unique design challenge. The exhibit needed to maintain strong visibility, open traffic flow, and functional workspaces without allowing the column to disrupt the overall visitor experience.
Solution
The 20′ x 30′ exhibit was designed with:
- Overhead branded signage for increased show floor visibility
- Integrated storage and work counters for functionality
- Strategic lighting to enhance product displays and booth presence
- Open sightless that maintained a spacious, welcoming environment
- Architectural elements that visually incorporated the structural column into the overall design
The Results
The finished exhibit successfully balanced aesthetics and functionality while overcoming the space constraint. Attendees were drawn to the booth’s clean, professional appearance and engaged with both the displays and staff throughout the event.
